Tennis Rules
1. The courts will be available daily from 8:00 A.M. to 11:00 P.M.
2. When people are waiting for courts, please limit play to two (2) sets of doubles; singles players should double up where possible, or limit play to 45 minutes.
3. Observe WET COURT signs. If you have any doubt––a court is too wet when your foot leaves a print near the base line.
4. Play priority during open tennis periods is as follows: (a) Working Men and Women and Students whose work schedules substantially limit their opportunity to play before 4:00 P.M. during the week (full time employment) (b) Men and Women (c) Students
5. A player who has priority may elect to play with whomever he or she chooses and still maintain his or her priority. Guests enjoy the same privileges and are subject to the same rules as their host.
6. All members are required to register guests in the Tennis Registry. This book is kept in the Tennis Pro Shop during regular Club hours. When members entertain guests during “off ” hours, they should register their guests at the earliest opportunity. No person living within a radius of 75 miles of the Club may be a guest more than five times during the season, with the exception of a single members’ guests.
7. Proper tennis attire is to be worn. Collared shirts or tennis Tshirts and appropriate shorts for tennis are required. Tennis sneakers are required on Har-Tru courts at all times. Basketball sneakers may be worn only on hard courts. | |
