These Swimming Pool rules are to ensure that the best interests of all members are served with regard to enjoyment and safety of swimming activities and the care and maintenance of the facility.
1. Safety
• The pool may be used only when two or more of the regular lifeguards are in attendance. It may not be used when the “POOL CLOSED” sign is posted.
• Non-swimmers are prohibited from using the diving board and the deep end of the pool. A non-swimmer is anyone who cannot swim the width of the deep end of the pool to the satisfaction of the lifeguards.
• Prohibited in the pool area are rough games, running, wrestling or excessive horse play.
• China and glassware, floating devices, and pets are not permitted in the pool area. • As a safety measure the Pool Manager may restrict use of the diving board or close sections of the pool.
• No one is to converse with the lifeguards while they are on duty except on a subject pertaining to their guarding functions. Climbing on the lifeguard stands is prohibited.
2. Inclement Weather Siren and Rule
When threatening weather is approaching, the Golf Professional on duty will sound the siren. At that time, the golf course, practice areas, putting green, swimming pool, tennis courts and outside dining areas will be closed. No one will be permitted to resume swimming until the all-clear signal is given.
3. Supervision
Children twelve years of age or younger must, at all times, be accompanied by one of their parents or under the supervision of another adult member, or responsible sitter approved by the Pool Manager for the supervision of children. Sitters approved by the Pool Manager must be registered with him or her as approved for the supervision of children. Parents and such responsible members and approved sitters are charged with the observance of all pool rules by the children in their care. Employees of members, while accompanying member’s children, may use the pool as guests more than five times per year.
4. Courtesy
• Cell phones should only be used for necessary calls and use should be limited to 2-3 minutes. Be considerate of those around you when talking on the cell phone. Cell phones should be set in the “silent/vibrate” or “off” mode as in other areas of the Club.
• Smoking is not permitted at the pool entrance or inside the pool fence. An area is designated for smoking away from the general children’s area.
5. Swimming Pool Complex Attire
• Bathing Suits are restricted to the swimming pool complex; therefore, shirts or cover-ups must be worn when going between the parking lot and swimming pool.
• Except when promptly entering and exiting the locker rooms, persons wearing bathing suits are not permitted in any part of the Clubhouse, on the terraces or the putting green.
• Wet bathing suits should not be carried into the Clubhouse.
• Infants and toddlers must wear swim diapers.
Relaxed Attire • Gentlemen may wear sleeveless T-shirts at the swimming pool complex.
• Clothing that exposes the midriff may be worn only at the swimming pool complex.
6. Care of the Swimming Pool Area
Every member should be proud of our swimming pool and observe the following Rules:
• Bathers are required by Pennsylvania State Law to take soap showers before entering the pool. • Infants and toddlers must wear swim diapers.
• Changing tables are available in both locker rooms and should be used for diaper changes.
• All members and guests are obligated to keep the pool area clean by putting refuse into containers provided for this purpose.
7. Guest Policy
A local guest may be introduced at the pool not more than five times during any calendar year, regardless of whether he or she is accompanied by the same or different hosts. Members’, grandchildren, aged 17 and under may visit the pool more than five times per year provided that the grandparent is present at all times during the grandchildren’s visits, and provided that daily, weekly or season rates are elected (see Guest Fees, below). All members have the responsibility of registering their guests at the cabana with the registrar at the beginning of every visit. “Guest” shall be defined as anyone who enters the pool area at the invitation of a member regardless of whether they plan to swim. Children enrolled in CCY sports camps are not considered guests during camp activities.
Guest Fees Fees for guests of the Club are:
Saturdays, Sundays & Holidays–– Adults $4.50 Children $3.50
Weekdays–– Adults $4.00 Children $3.00
Weekly rates may be applied to member’s employees (see rule #3, page 86) and member's grandchildren (see rule #7, page 87) at $12.00 per person per week, or $60.00 per person for the season.
Hours of Swimming Pool Operation
Pool hours are: 10:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. (or dusk) all week.
