Platform Rules
1. The courts are available daily from 8:00 A.M. until 11:00 P.M. The night watchman has been instructed to turn off all lights and lock the warming room at 11:00 P.M. We ask your cooperation in adhering to these hours.
2. Players must wear “sneakers” (tennis shoes, boating shoes, etc.). Rubber soled street shoes are not permitted on courts.
3. Due to the regulations of the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board, members and guests are not permitted to bring alcoholic beverages onto the Club premises. The 19th Hole and the Terrace Room are available for food and beverage. With authorized approval, food and beverages may be served by the Club in the warming room for member parties and Committee activities.
4. Please strive to keep the warming room orderly and neat.
5. When people are waiting for courts, please limit play to two (2) sets of doubles; singles players should double-up where possible, or limit play to 45 minutes.
6. Do not monopolize a court with round robin play. The court should be made available to other members according to rule #5.
7. Play priority during open platform tennis periods is as follows: (a) Working Men and Women and Students whose work schedules substantially limit their opportunity to play before 4:00 P.M. during the week (full time employment); (b) Men and Women, and (c) Students.
8. The Platform courts are for members only. Guests must be accompanied by a member, or the Club's Professional (with prior approval). Members may register for guests in the Golf Pro Shop, Terrace Room or 19th Hole. | |
